Even those who love to take digital photos may have on occasion the need to find stock photo. For bloggers, a digital photo can make a post more interesting and help to break up the text.  There are several online stock photos websites. Each has their own pros and cons.

Stock Exchange is an online stock photography website that offers free images. There are some restrictions as to how you can use the images like for illegal purposes. There are some instances when you must contact the photographer like if you can to use the image to make money.  Some uses require that you contact them before using their image but a lot of users just use the standard usage agreement. Leaving a comment or notifying the photographer not only is courteous but might can you a new reader to your blog.

What I really like about Stock Exchange is you can also find graphics as well as photos.  This is really handy when you need a quick graphic for a spur of the moment post. A lot of times I like to create my own graphics but using one from Stock Exchange is good for when I’m behind in my work.

You do have to register. to download digital photos. Registration is free as is all of the stock photos. When you conduct a search, you will also see results from their sister paid stock photography site, Stock Expert. You can add photos to your light box so that you can easily find them later.

Stock Exchange is an easy to use website for finding free stock photos. It’s my number one source because I always plenty of quality photos all free to use.
